Hope for 2026

It can feel odd to experience such joy during a time of darkness and fear.  Today the Felix Foundation board met to review and celebrate 2025, our first calendar year of existence as a nonprofit.  It was a wonderful afternoon, full of hope, joy, and goodwill.

I also know that for many families and individuals in the area we serve, this is a time of great fear and pain.  Felix Foundation’s dedication to NICU families regardless of family origin, language spoken, residency status, ethnic background, religious beliefs, or any other social differentiator will never change.  We are here to support human beings, and the sacred bond between parents and children.

I have hope that the city and state I love, and the country I served will find a peaceful resolution to our current challenges.  Felix Foundation will continue to focus on our mission because even a small candle flame can bring hope on the darkest night.  Dignity, care, and kindness beget more joy in the world and solve more problems than violence and hate could ever begin to.

Be safe out there, take care of each other, and remember that we are all one human race.
